Abstract

Women's of selected for the purpose of value added training on agricultural produce under the NATP. The various subjects include fruits and vegetable, soya based product/processing Mushroom processing and Bakery product and Milk processing. The above trainings were imparted in 4 (four) different villages. The rural women participated in these trainings; they developed a keen interest in production/processing of agricultural produce in accordance with the training imported to them. In a post survey conducted by us in these villages, it was found that the rural women are independently earning their livelihood by adopting the techniques learnt by them in the value added trainings on the subjects as mentioned above. In other words, the said trainings had a far-reaching impact on their financial gain. Independently as well as through self help group consequently they are leading better lives in villages.
