Abstract

Ten traits of groundnut production were tested in random block design with 3rd aplicationss in temperate climate. The data collected were analyzed for correlation studies. Pods per plant, nitrogen fixing rhizobium nodules per plant, percent of fully developed seed, fresh weight of green part of the plant and maturity period had seed positive correlation with the yield of ground-nut, while selling percent has shown negative correlation with the yield. Among various production factors shelling percent had shown significantly negative correlation with other traits, while significantly positive correlation was observed among nitrogen fixing bacterial nodules, no. of pods, fresh weight of green part of plants and percent of fully developed seed. Thus present study revealed that no. of pods, fresh weight of green part of plant, % of fully developed seed and nitrogen fixing bacterial nodules could be to determining traits/factors for yield enhancement of groundnut.
