Abstract

Thirty six traits of chick pea production were tested in randomized block design for total 12 quantitative characters including yield. Path coefficient analysis was carried out to determine the effect of various production factors on the yield. Prelogical yield had shown highest direct effect on the seed yield which was followed by test weight, yield index, Initial folwering period, maturity period, secondary branches per plant and per pod seeds respectively, while 50% flowering period has shown negative direct effect on the yield of gram.
