Protien and energy rich sweetballs (ladoos) were developed by locally available food sources like Amaranth seasame, soybean and sugar. Seasame and soyabean supplemented sweet balls were found to be rich in prortein (12.90–15.37%), fat (18.32–24.49%), calcium (541.8–739.4 mg/100g) and iron (6.41–8.02 mg/100g.) Amaranth and soybean supplemented sweetballs were found to be rich in total carbohydrates (79.58–87.43%) ani potassium (210.359.mg/100g). Sensory evalution of the developed products revealed that amaranth and sesame based soybean (15%) supplemented sweetballs were most acceptable. From the results of the study it can be concluded that amaranth, sesame and soybean supplemented sweetballs can be prepared easily at home using locally available nutrions resources and can help in combating protien and energy malnutrition.
