Abstract

Lemon were dipped in various antifungal treatments like bavistin (350 ppm) and chlorine (100 ppm) for 10 to 15 minutes and dried in shade, After dying they were packaged in 100 and 150 gauge polymeric film having 0.00, 0,50 and 1.00 percent vantilation and then sealed. There-after, the fruits were kept for strange in zero energy cool chamber and under ambient conditions. After storage, it was observed that bavistin treated fruits: packaged in 100 gauge film having 1.00 percent ventilation had minimum pathological rotting when stored in zero energy cool chamber as compared to the fruits stored under ambient conditions.
