Study on weed flora based on frequency and density in non-cropped and garbage area in Shivpuri, Sheopur and Datia districts of Madhya Pradesh in Kharif season

Abstract

A survey of weed flora in Kharif season of non-corpped and garbage area of Shivpuri, Sheopur and Datia districts of M.P. was conducted in year 2008. Results revealed Cynodon dactylon was dominant weed in non-corpped area of Shivpuri, Sheour and Datia districts, while Cassia tora, Lantana camara and Parthenium hysterophorus were second dominant weeds in same distict respectively. Similary in garbage area Cynodon dactylon was dominant weed in above mention districts, while at second position Xanthium Strumarium was in Shivpuri and Datia districts and Cyperus rotundus in Sheopur district.
