Abstract

A study was undertaken for the chemical weed control in groundnut crop using 2 hebicides namely Quizalofop ethyl 5 Ec and Oxyflourofen along with farmers practice. Efficiency of weed control was 63.81% with the pod yield and haulm yield of 13.86 q/ha and 27.29 q/ha respectively in the farmer practice. The pod yield in this case was 102% more than control. Due to high cost 6f cultivation the lesser net profit and B: C ratio Rs. 15022.00 and 1.77 respectively were obtained.

However the application of quizalopop ethyel 4 EC @ 1000 Ml/ha at 20 DAS registered weed control efficiency of 54.47% with the pod yield and haulm yield of 12q/ha and 25.01q/ha respectively. The pod yield in this treatment was 75% higher than the control. The highest net profit of Rs. 18232q/ha with the B. C ratio of 2.52 was obtained under application of qulzalopop herbicider.
