Abstract

Studies on growth and development of pevendi ber (Ziziphus mauritiana Lank.) of Jhansi Uttar Pradesh Showed that the fruit growth in term of fruit weitght, volume, fruit length and diameter presented a double sigmoid curve. The interval between fruit setting and maturity was 130 days. It was found that, total soUble solids, titrable acidity reducing sugar and total suger in truit in pulp increased towards maturity. Ascorbic acid content increased and decreased as the fruit matured.
