Abstract

Field experiment was carried out to study the effect of fertility levels and weed control methods on the yield and yield attributes of Soybean at JNKVV, Zonal Agricultural Research Station, Chandangaon, Chhindwara (M.P.) during Kharif Seasons of 2001 to 2003. Results revealed that application of (20: 60: 20 NPK kh/ha) brought about significantly higher growth, yield attribptes and production as compared to control. Application of 20 kg S along with N, P and K showed improvements but the same were not significant. Integrated application of 20 kg Sulphur + 5 tons FYM/ha alongwith N, P and K brought out significant improvements over 20: 60: 20 NPK but the same was at par. with 20: 60: 20: 20 NPKS/ha treatment therefore, the later was recommended. Cost benefit ratio was also noticed more under the later treatments. Application of Imezethapyr @ 100m1 a.i./ha at 18 DAS alongwith one hand weeding at 30 DAS gave significantly higher growth yield attributes and production over control. In addition the net return and cost: benefit ratio was also noticed more.
