A research study was conducted in Sitapur district of Uttar Pradesh to assess the knowledge and adoption level among farmers and constraints in adoption of sugarcane ratoon production technology. It was found that despite the satisfactory level of knowledge about ratoon technology among cane growers, the adoption was poor. Several constraints were also identified which were responsible for poor adoption. Due to all these, the yield of sugarcane ratoon was low in the study area.
