Abstract

Study with five Varieties of bael were conducted Regional Agriculture Research Station Bharari, Jhansi during 2005–06 and 2006–07 at Chandra Shekahar Azad University of Agriculture and Technology Kanpur, U.P. Bael varieties were assayed for Physico-Cherrucal components. The variety Etawah Kagaji characterized by shape and size of fruit proved its superiority for many characters also, notable being weight, edible matter content, Vitamin‘C’, Sugar, Sugar: acid ratio and protein content in fruits were other varieties followed by Faizabad Kagaji variety.
