“Evaluation of productivityand profitability of improved technique on soybean under front line demonstrations”

Seventy two front line demonstrations at farmers field on Soybean crop were conducted under NATP project by Zonal Agricultural Research Station Chhindwara (M.P.) during 2001 to 2003. The specific objective of these FLD's was to demonstrate improved technology (HYV JS-335,20:80:20 NPK kg/ha, Plant Protection measure) to motivate farming community for obtaining higher yield. Results revealed that 17.18 q/ha yield and profit of Rs. 11208/ha. were obtained through improved technology which were higher by 35.62 percent in yield and Rs. 3924/ha more in net profit than the 13.12 q/ha yield obtained by the use of untreated old seed of variety JS-335 and.7:20 NP kg/ha. (farmer practices).
