This research work was conducted in the department of agricultural extension of Indira Gandhi Krishi Vishwavidyalaya Raipur (C.G.) in the year 2010. The work was carried out in the Mahasamund district of Chhattisgarh. This study was confined in purposely selected three blocks i.e. Pithora, Basana and Saraypali of Mahasamund district on the basis of stratified random sampling. Four villages from each block and 10 respondents from each selected village were selected. Thus the total number of respondents was 120 from 12 villages. Majority of the respondents had one house and cent per cent respondents had conventional housing system
