Abstract

In view of the importance of climate in agricultural production, impact of climate change on agriculture has been intensively studied in recent years. However, it is surprising that impact of climate change on agriculture in North East India, where agriculture is considered to be highly sensitive to climate change, has not been studied with the urgency it really deserves. In this context, based on the current evidences and scientific hypotheses, the present article provides a logical review of the climate change scenario and its possible impacts on agricultural production in North East India.
