Abstract

A field experiment was conducted during kharif season of 2010 at Agriculture college Farm Gwalior to study effect on varieties of Soybean (JS 95–60 and JS 97–52), row spacings (30, 45 and 60 cm) and seed rates (55, 65 and 75 kg/ha) on quality and physiological parameter of soybean [Glycine max (L.) Merrill]. On the basis of result data JS 97–52 variety, 45 cm row spacing and 55 kg/ha seed rate gave significantly higher yield, attributing characters, net return and benefit cost ratio. JS 97–52 variety, and 65 kg/ha seed rate produced higher oil and protein percent in seed. Highest oil percent in seed was found with 60 cm row spacing but highest protein percent in seed was found with 30 cm row spacing.
