Sesame (Sesamum indicum L.) is the most important oilseed crop of Madhya Pradesh. Front line demonstration were conducted during the rainy season at 52 farmers field, to demonstrate production potential and economic benefit of improved technologies consisting suitable variety (JTS-8), integrated nutrient management (60: 40: 20: 30 NPKS Kh/ha + Azotobector + PSB @ 2.5 Kg/ha), Plant protection (seed treatment with tricoderma viridi @ 5 g/kg seed + quenalphas @ 1.2 L with 600 L of water) at Datia district of Bundelkhand Agro-climatic zone during kharif season of 2008–09 to 2011–12. The improved technologies recorded mean yield of 500 kg/ha which was 27.14 percent higher than that obtained with local practices of 401 kg/ha. Improved technology gave higher mean net return of Rs. 16286/ha with a benefit cost ratio 3.12 as compared to farmers pretties (Rs. 12613/ha. benefit cost ratio 2.83). Tecnnology gap was of minimum (90 kg/ha) during 2011–12 and maximum (171 kg/ha) during 2008–09 shows that gap demonstration yield over potential yield, but the gap reduced subsequently.
