Abstract

The productivity of cereal and pulse crops continues to be quite low due to technological gaps in adoption of different improved technologies and other factors also. The yield can be increased by demonstrating their cultivation technologies at the farmer's fields under the supervision of scientists working in the project area. Keeping the importance of frontline demonstrations, the M. S. Swaminathan Research Foundation & J. N. Krishi Vishwa Vidyalaya collaborative project conducted demonstrations on improved agriculture technologies of different crops at farmers field during the year 2001–2005 and found significant improvement in production and productivity of different crops.
