Abstract

The study was conducted in purposively selected Morena block of Morena district Madhya Pradesh. Naka watershed development programme, which is situated in Morena block, cover 16 villages, out of which 8 villages were selected randomly where most of the watershed activities had been implemented by the Department of Agriculture, M.P. From these eight selected villages 120 farmers (15from each village) were selected randomly for the study as respondents. Majority of the respondents (77.50%) were having in overall medium to high adoption of watershed management technology. There was a considerable variation in the extent of adoption of various wathershed management practices related to soil-water management and food and fodder purpose practices. The higher percentage of beneficiaries were having complete adoption of recommended fertilizer does and mixed cropping of the "soil water management and food purpose" category of watershed management practices, while majority of the beneficiaries were having partial adoption of crop rotation, strip cropping and contour cultivation practices.
