This study was conducted in Kanker district of Chhattisgarh state. Out of 7 blocks of the district only 3 blocks namely Kanker, Narharpur and Antagarh, were selected for the purpose. From each selected block 40 tribal farmers were selected randomly as respondents who adopt organic farming. The main objective of the study was to find out the constraints and suggest measures to overcome the same in the adoption of organic farming practices. The constraints in adoption of organic farming observed in the study were identified as, cent per cent respondents encountered low income and low yield interms of non-adotion of recommended organic farming practices while 98.33 per cent respondents were lacking in training facility regarding organic farming. It is therefore suggested to provide more and more training in respect of recommended organic farming practices.
