The present communication pertains to perennial weeds of district Rajouri (J & K). The study was based on extensive and intensive field surveys made during Jan 2010-Apr. 2011: During the course of field surveys the authors have selected 06 blocks in district Rajouri i.e. Sunderbani, Nowshera, Kalakote, Rajouri, Thanamandi and Dharal. Three sites were selected in each block for collection of perennial weeds. A total of 43 perennial weeds belonging to 03 monocot and 20 dicot families were reported from the study area. Out of these 23 weed families rep'orted from 07 blocks of district Rajouri the predominance was shown by family Asteraceae having 05 weed species followed by family Poaceae, Polygonaceae and Verbenaceae each having 03 weeds species.
