Abstract

The present study was carried out during Kharif 2010 at College of Agriculture, Gwalior (M.P.). The study was done on the effect of weed management on yield of sesame and nuttrient uptake: On basis of result it was found that maximum yield, nutrient uptake and not profit can be obtained by two hand weeding (15 & 30 DAS) as compared to other treatments. Use of trifluralin 0.75 kg a.i./ha PPI with one hand weeding (30 DAS) gave effective weed management. Yield of sesame (1122 kh/ha) and total crop nutrient uptak (N, P & K -57.36, 18.06 and 54.68) was on second place but B : C ratio was found maximum in trifluralin with one hand weeding.
