A study to assess the improvement in farmers’ livelihood status due to agricultural programs "Krishi Charcha" and GV Online (Live-phone-in) broadcasted on Radio FM Gyanvani channel, Kanpur (Governed by IGNOU and fmanced by Ministry of Humen Resource Development) was conducted in the year 2010-11. For the purpose of study, several contacts were made with the farmers’ of remote villages to know that what type of knowledge and help they gain in their agricultural practices and what changes in their livelihood was observed through the programs broadcasted on "Gyanvani" channel. It is found that the farmers which listened radio broadcast become aware with recent agriculture technologies and they were adopted new agricultural practices in their farming, i.e., sowing time, crop varieties, knowhow about the management of diseases and pests and storage technologies etc.
