An on farm field experiment was conducted at the villege Katadaganda in G. Udayagiri block of Kandhamal district in the North Eastern Ghat Zone of Orrisa during Kharif seasons of 2009 and 2010 to assess the effect of lime @5 q/ha and fertility levels viz. farmer's practice, 20: 40: 40 N: P2O5:K2O and 20: 40: 40 kg N: P2O5: K2O/ha on yield and economics of groundnut (Arachis hypogaea L.). Applicatioll of 20: 40: 40 kg N: P2O5: K2O/ha with lime@5 q/ha resulted in maximum pod yield of 1.597 and 1.761 t/ha and highest net profit of Rs. 18.56 and 20.59 thousand/ha during 2009 and 2010, respectively. This was followed by application of 20: 40: 40 kg N: P2O5: K2O/ha, which resulted in 1.256 and 1.356 t/ha pod yield and Rs. 12.01 and 12.79 thousand/ha net profit during the respective years
