Goat weed in an annual plant whose leaves and render stalks are widely used for medicinal purpose. In the present study pretreatment was carried out by dipping goat weed in distilled water at 100°C for 30 seconds. Then the leaves were placed over wire mesh screens to drain out excess water and dried in the temperature 45–70°C. It was attempted to describe the drying process of Goat weed leaves by fitting the experimental data on selected drying models. Totaldrying time considerably reduces with the increase in drying air temperature from 50–70°C. The drying rate increased with increase in temperature. Pretreatment had an insignificant role on the drying rate.
