Participation of girls of Chhattisgarh in agricultural education was studied from enrolled students of last five sessions (2002–2003 to 2007–08) of Indira Gandhi Krishi Vishwavidayalaya, Raipur (C.G.). The study revealed that while the participation of Chhattisgarh girls in agricultural education was only 10.47% in 2003–04 session, the same increased to 20.83% in 2007–08. The girls from developed districts of Raipur and Durg were observed more interested to acquire agricultural education than that of undeveloped districts of Raigarh and Dantewada of Chhattisgarh. State Girls preferred to enroll in agricultural colleges as compared to agricultural engineering and horticultural colleges for agricultural education. The subjects were observed to be entomology horticulture, plant breeding, plant patpology and Biochemistry in post graduate education by the girl students.
