Effect of bio fertilizers and foliar spray of zinc under different levels of N, P on floral characteristics and economics of Gladiolus grandiflorus
Abstract
An experiment was conducted during rabi season of 2011–12 and 2012–13 at the botanical field of S.M.S. Govt. Model science college under Jiwaji University, Gwalior, Madhya Pradesh to study the effect of bio fertilizer and foliar spray of zinc under different NP levels on floral characteristics and economics of Gladiolus. On the basis of two years results data reveled that the application of bio fertilizer (Azotobacter and PSB) singly and in combinations had significant effect on all the floral characters under study. The best floral characters were found with combined inoculations of Azotobacter + PSB and gave maximum net return and B: C ratio as compared in inoculated ones.
