Abstract

The study was conducted in purposively selected Dhar district of Madhya Pradesh to know the perception level of the tribal farmers viewing Krishi Darshan programme of doordarshan during 2009–10 in terms of their socio personal attributes. The result of the study revealed that majority (44.67%) of the tribal farmers had medium level of perception towards overall agricultural practices through Krishi Darshan programme of Doordarshan followed by low level of perception (32.67%) respondents and high level of perception (22.66%) respondents respectively. It can be further concluded that age, education, social participation, annual income, mass media exposure, contact with extension personnel, Knowledge about improved technology and attitudes towards content of programme of tribal viewers were found positively and significantly correlated with level of perception.
