Improvement of productivity of clusterbean through front line demonstrations

Sixty (60) Front Line demonstrations on the farmers’ filed were conducted on complete recommended package of practices in comparison with farmers’ practice during kharif 2012 on clusterbean crop in six districts of Gwalior and Chambal divisions of Madhya Pradesh. On the basis of six districts average results indicated that higher seed yield (1708 kg/ha) and net monetary return (Rs.1,54,333/-ha) of Guar was obtained under recommended package of practices, which was 42.93% higher seed yield as compared to farmer's practices. But farmer's practices obtained (1195 kg/ha) seed yield and net monetary return (Rs.1,08,024/-ha) of Guar only.
