Abstract

A field experiment on the effect of different row ratios of Bajra intercropping and weed management in Guar crop was conducted during Kharif 2012. The results ob-tained indicated that pure Guar crop gave statistically higher Guar equivalent yield (2137 kg/ha), net profit (194, 328/ha) and benefit cost ratio (11.03), which was significantly higher than all other treatments of different row ratios of Bajra intercrop-ping and weed management. However, Guar + Bajra (intercropping) of 2: 1 row ratio practice was at second place in respect of Guar equivalent yield (1380 kg/ha). As regards herbicidal treatments for weed management, pendimethalin @ 1.5 kg a.i./ha PE spray + Imazethapyr @40 g a.i./ha 25 DAS spray gave statistically higher Guar equivalent yield (1486 kg/ha), net profit ('1, 15, 960/ha) and benefit cost ratio (6.99), which was significantly higher than all other herbicidal treatments. However, Guar equivalent yield was at par with hand weeding at 25 and 45 DAS.
