Abstract

A research experiment was conducted during kharif season of 2013 and 2014 at college of Agriculture, farm Gwalior (M.P.) under AICRP on Arid Legumes. On the basis of two years ’pooled data, results show that the effect of different row ratios of Bajra intercropping and weed management in Guar crop was conducted. The results obtained indicated that pure Guar crop gave statistically higher Guar equivalent yield (2003kg/ha), net profit (’81780/ha) and benefit cost ratio (5.45), which was signifi-cantly higher than all other treatments of different row ratios of Bajra intercropping and weed management. However, Guar + Bajra (intercropping) of 2: 2 row ratio practice was at second place in respect of Guar equivalent yield (1499 kg/ha). As regards herbicidal treatments for weed management, hand weeding at 25 and 45 DAS gave statistically higher Guar equivalent yield (1825kg/ha), net profit (’71000/ha) and benefit cost ratio (4.51), which was significantly higher than all other herbicidal treatments. However, equivalent yield (1662kg/ha) of Guar was at second place with pendimethalin @ 1.5 kg a.i./ha PE spray + one hand weeding at 25 DAS.
