Pumpkin (cucurbita moschata) is becomeing an important source of income for small and marginal farmers of Sheopur district of Madhya Pradesh. However, productivity of this horticultural crop in the district is low due to lack of knowledge of improved technologies. Krishi Vigyan Kendar, Sheopur and allied departments have carried out demonstrations during 2012–13 and 2013–14 on fields of easily technology adopting farmers. The results revealed that foliar application of plant growth regulator gave average yield 288.35 quintal/ha., which was 12.46% to higher over local farmers practices during study period. Economic analysis showed that demonstration recorded higher net return of 70860/ha., which was on average 12300 more in comparison to local farmers ’practices. The higher average of B: C ratio 2.60 was obtained under demonstrations while average B: C ratio 2.33 was recorded under local farmers ’practice.
