Animal Husbandry is an essential element of livelihood improvement of farmers along with farming in rainfed areas. Buffalo rearing has a very important role in farming in Gird Region of Madhya Pradesh. Here the milk productivity of buffaloes is very low, which is caused mainly due to imbalanced diet. This is also responsible for the ill health of buffaloes. This problem can be solved by adding mineral supplements in animal diet. An experiment was planned and conducted in Gird region of Madhya Pradesh to assess the effect of mineral supplementation on milk production in 10 buffaloes. A good health was observed in the experiment by feeding mineral supplements. An increase of 22.40% was also observed in milk production. Similarly the lactation period was also increased by 25 days.
