Present study was conducted during the yeart 2011–12 in the State of Meghalaya of North Eastern region of India. Central Potato Research Station is situated in the capital place of this State i.e., Shillong. Government of India is running a scheme, Horticulture Mini Mission-1 since last few years. Under the scheme, Front Line Dem-onstrations (FLDs) were organized to persuade the farmers for adopting improved po-tato production technologies. To assess the progress of the scheme and to know the perceptions of farmers regarding the technologies being demonstrated, a social study was conducted with the help of Horticulturists and Specialists of Extension Education. Further, to conduct the study altogether, 10 nos. of technologies and 10 nos. of their attributes were included and accordingly, an interview schedule was prepared. Pre-pared interview schedule was tested at micro level, thereafter with certain modifica-tions, final interview schedule was used to collect the data. Collected data were ana-lyzed with the application of simple tests like percentage and mean and responses obtained from participating farmers were grouped in three categories i.e. High, Medium and Low. The results obtained entails that 97% responses were from the farmers regarding the technologies having high Level of trial ability and 93% responses indicated towards the attribute of divisibility under the category of ‘High level ’.
