Abstract

Mustard (Brassica juncea) is an important oilseed crop of Madhya Pradesh. The yield or productivity of mustard crop is quite low due to unavailability of white rust resistant and insect tolerant varieties of the crop. Present investigation was carried out under FLD oilseed scheme at farmers ’field in Datia district, with demonstration of Pusa Jai Kisan, Pusa Bold and RVM-2 varieties during 2011–12, 2012–13 and 2013–14. The results revealed that RVM-2 variety produced maximum yield under farmers ’conditions which was at par with Pusa Jaikisan and significantly higher than Pusa Bold and local (unindentified) variety.
