Abstract

The present study was conducted on costs and returns involved in cultivation of groundnut in Kadapa district of Andhra Pradesh pertaining to 2020–21.

The data were elicited from 104 groundnut farmers from 8 villages and 4 mandals of Kadapa district, by using cost concept and returns results were drawn.

The study revealed that total cost of cultivation per hectare incurred by large farmers recorded the lowest of Rs. 61570.97 and it was increased by increase in size of the farms. Similarly, the gross farm income/net income recorded highest among the large farm size farmers and it was declined with the decline of farm size. B-C ratio also recorded highest (1.51) among the large farm size farmers.
