Thiosemicarbazone derivative of Lawsone (2-TSCND) (2-hydroxy-1,4-napthalenedione) and chloro lawsone (3-Chloro-2-hydroxy-1,4-napthalenedione) at 2 position have been synthesized at ambient temperature, there complex with Ni(II) have been synthesized the molecular composition on the basis of elemental analysis, IR and electronic spectral studies corresponds to (ML).
