Abstract

Excess molar enthalpies HE at T= 313.15 K have been determined for dichloromethane (CH2Cl2) + acetone (CH3)2CO or + dimethyl sulfoxide (CH3)2SO) (DMSO) or + tetrahydrofuran (C4H8O) or + 1, 4-dioxane (C4H8O2). The excess molar enthalpies for all systems are exothermic in nature. The excess partial molar enthalpies of the components HEm, 1, and HEm, 2 were calculated from HE data. These results indicate the existence of specific interactions between all these components.
