Abstract

Adverse environmental effects are observed with redistribution of trace elements in groundwater in Patancheru Industrial area by different product manufacturing industrial operations, their improper storage and indiscriminate disposal of their process generating effluents, atmospheric combustions of fossil fuels, municipal domestic sewage, disposal on land and their runoffs during rainy season becoming a path way of infiltrations of contaminants in to the groundwater through soil profile. This study reveals that the evaluation of non-essential trace metals like Ar, Cd, fe, Cr, Ni, Pb, Hg, and Zn depending on their sensitivity, residential, non-residential areas and their contaminations vary from location to location, based on their schematic percolations of contaminations into the groundwater table. Further investigations to be carried out on the potential hazards to human body when consumed this groundwater as drinking purpose in these areas.
