Abstract

The study examines the use of Internet among students of Baptist Theological seminary Ogbomoso, Nigeria. The research design was the descriptive survey type. The instrument of data collection was the questionnaire. Stratified random sampling technique was used to select 300 out of a total population of 500 students. Copies of questionnaire were administered to them out of which 1 84 responded. The response rate was 61.3 percent. Data was analyzed through percentages and tables using the statistical package for the social sciences (SPSS). The study revealed that there was a very low level of Internet use among the students. The study also found that the seminary library did not have Internet connectivity and majority of the students depended on commercial cybercafés for the use of the Internet. It is therefore recommended that Internet workshop and training should be organized forstudents and that seminary library should be connected to the Internet so that students could access and use of the Internet.
