Abstract

ICT is affecting each and every aspect of our life. Libraries cannot be seen separated from this effect. Today, we have Internet, online access of information, and moreover Web 2.0. We are moving towards Library 2.0 where the applications of Web 2.0 are applied in library services. This effect is seen in academic libraries, especially the university libraries and in special libraries but public libraries are not benefitted much with this latest technology. This paper highlights some of the latest trends in information and communication technology, which can be used in public libraries.
