Abstract

Paper discusses meaning, origin and types of aggregators. With the help of aggregating services hundred and thousands of titles with full text access come in a single package. Impact of aggregators on libraries, users, librarians, publishers and academics has been highlighted. Evaluation criteria of aggregator services along with their advantages and disadvantages have been discussed. Paper also highlights the major aggregating services and their role in information dissemination.
