Libraries are the heart of the communities. The one important threat these Libraries face is the security problem. How the valuable resources are can be safely guarded? The bar code technology is the only answer to these many questions. Nirmala College Library is fully computerized with bar code facility. The paper focuses on the uses of bar code, and its different functions in the Library and also other security systems.
