Abstract

Discusses the meaning of high quality consciousness and its need for libraries and library staff. Points out in brief deficiencies of existing manpower planning for L & I Science. Suggests methods for planning of high quality consciousness programmes within the libraries and beyond the library compounds. Analyzes the benefits and need of post-employment training programmes including in house training programmes for library personnel. Methods of planning of advance courses at national and regional level have also been critically evaluated.
