North East India has always been claimed to be backward region in the country in all fronts. Transport and communication are also major problem in the region. Use of ICTs in various activities, on the other hand, today has enabled to bridge the gap. Adoption of ICTs by the University libraries in the region has also started since recent past within lot of expectations. However, studies have been carried out very hardly to assess and evaluate the scenario so far. A deep analysis of the existing scenario will certainly throw us light on various aspects in its. The same also will enable us to check out. The same also will enable us to check out. Plans for the overall development in the days to come. In this backdrop the present proposal has been made to assess the situation to come out with solutions for further achievement.
