Abstract

Academic library committed to teaching, learning and research work in an academic Institution. While use information and documents for this purpose they need to know the boundary line of rights granted to the copyright holders as well as users of the copyright materials. Copyright plays a decisive role in academic library. The paper discuses brief about copyright and its purpose, ownership issues & duration of protection of copyright, issue related fair use, infringement. The paper also discusses statutory provision or permission and limitations for academic institution and digital copyright as well as its provisions for education.
