Abstract

Like any other organization, academic libraries can make use of their websites to market their services throughout the world. The present study analyzed the library websites of the leading 20 academic libraries in India. The selection was done based on National Institutional Ranking Framework 2017. The content survey of the websites were done with the help of a checklist prepared based on the similar previous evaluations of the websites by different authors. The main objective of the research was to identify the facilities and services offered through the websites and to check the level of adoption of web 2.0 tools in those sites. The survey revealed that almost all the websites of the leading university libraries were offered a wide range of courses and services through their web pages.
