Use of E-Resources in Pharmacy Colleges: A Study

Abstract

The rapid advancement of Information and communication technology (ICT) has brought a revolutionary change in the users. The e-resources enable the academic user to access a large number of scholarly journals from reputed databases. The study aims to evaluate the use of e-resources in Pharmacy colleges in Bengaluru, Karnataka. The present study also focused on frequently used e-resources, purpose of using e-resources and their satisfaction about eresources. The study also evaluates the difficulties, experiences while accessing e-resources. Pharmacy programs benefit from the flexibility of e-resources because remote access allows patrons to access the majority of library content. The researcher chooses survey method and as a sample size sent 200 questionnaires through email to respondents of 10 Colleges, out of which 180 users are responded and it is considered as 100%.
