Abstract

The radiation effect of mass transfer on magneto hydrodynamic steady free convective flow of liquid sodium at and water at 4°C through a porous medium has been analysed when the medium is bounded by an infinite vertical permeable plate and there is constant suction. The dimensionless governing equations are solved using Laplace transform. The results are obtained for velocity, temperature and concentration fields, Nusselt number, Sherwood Number and shearing stress for different parameters like Schmidt number, time, magnetic parameter, radiation parameter etc. The flow characteristics are discussed and shown by means of graphs and tables.
