This paper describes the design, construction and implementation of a simple and compact Data Acquisition System (DAS) that can be used for laboratory and industrial applications. Proposed interface simultaneously samples eight single ended channels of input data with 12-bit resolution and through puts of 100Ksps at 2MHz clock rates. It is used to acquire analog signals between the ranges selectable by software. The system been interfaced to PC through its Parallel port for acquiring the sampled data in to the PC with the help of the software written using Virtual Instrumentation (VI) Program LabVIEW. System performance evaluated by comparing the signal obtained with the present system and the signal obtained with a standard instrument.
