Abstract

We have studied and found that high quality nanowires are produced by pumping molten metal into the hollow channels of silica glass photonic crystal fibers. For this purpose pressurized filling technique have been used. The possible nanowire diameters are 200nm. A shift of surface plasma resonances is found towards lower wave light sides. A triangular array of parallel gold or silver nanowires are fitted around a central missing nanowire. In this study we have found that creation of nanoscale metallic structures reduce the high optical absorption in metals. Due to this there are advantages of strong metal light interactions.
